VEGETARIAN VEGAN RECIPES
Broccoli Beef
- 2 Tablespoons of olive oil
- 2 Tablespoons of organic soy sauce
- 1 cup of cut broccoli florets
- 1/2 cup of julienne carrots
- 1 cup of J Green Veggie Beef
- Place a small skillet on a burner at medium heat. Place the olive oil. Add the broccoli florets and carrots and soy sauce. Stir "fry" for about 5 minutes. Add the Veggie Beef. Stir fry for another 5 minutes. Serve with brown or white rice. Serves 2 ( you may add more soy sauce as desired )
- Veggie Beef Soft Tacos
- 1/4 cup of finely chopped white onions or shallots
- 1/8 cup of finely chopped cilantro
- 1/4 cup of finely chopped cabbage
- The juice of 1 lime (or lemon)
- 1 cup of warm or hot J Green Veggie Beef
- 4 medium sized whole wheat tortillas ( already warm)
- Organic hot sauce to taste
In a medium sized bowl or container mix the onions, cilantro, cabbage, lime juice and veggie beef. Add hot sauce to taste. Take a large serving spoon, and split into 4 servings and scoop one serving onto the middle of each warmed tortilla. Roll up each tortilla and serve with a salad or with traditional beans and rice. Serves 2.
(Suggestion 1- you can warm tortillas in a microwave for about 10-20 seconds, Suggestion 2- you may try this recipe stir-frying all the ingredients before placing on tortillas )
Warm Steak Salad for 1
- 2 cups of mixed greens (butter lettuce, romaine, iceberg)
- 6 cherry tomatoes sliced in 1/2 each
- 1/2 avocado cut into squares about 1 inch long
- 6 grapes sliced in 1/2
- 1/8 cup of pecan halves or roasted almonds
- 2/3 cup of warm J Green Veggie Beef (30 seconds in microwave)
- 2 tablespoons of your favorite salad dressing
Arrange the salad as follows: On a large plate, place the lettuce, the over the lettuce place the sliced tomatoes, avocados, grapes and Pecans. Place the veggie beef on top and in the center. Pour salad dressing. Serve.
